Matthew Prutting is an associate attorney at Kaplan Rice. Mr. Prutting litigates matters involving fraud, breaches of fiduciary duty, regulatory investigations and securities claims. Mr. Prutting also has experience negotiating agreements resolving corporate disputes involving proprietary information, non-compete and non-solicitation agreements and self-dealing allegations.
Mr. Prutting represents individual and institutional clients appearing before state and federal courts, as well as administrative and regulatory agencies. His appellate experience includes a successful appeal in the First Department regarding a $160M disgorgement payment to SEC.
Mr. Prutting is a graduate of Fordham University and the Georgetown University Law Center. Prior to joining Kaplan Rice, Mr. Prutting worked at an international law firm in New York, where he focused his practice on complex, multi-party litigation of banking, insurance, finance, corporate and shareholder disputes.
